ADD/ADHD - Attention or Something Else?
by Mary Pat Correro, Ed.M.
ADD and ADHD have become common and feared verbiage in today's conversation. It is a multi-million dollar pharmaceutical industry and seems to be epidemic. Teachers far from being experts regarding the causes and appropriate solutions to these problems are often heard telling parents that their child needs to be on medication which is too often a quick fix. We need to stop and think about why there is such an epidemic and, what are all the options. Which ones are the healthiest, support and solve the true cause of attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity. ADD and ADHD are symptoms, so what are the real problems and how do we resolve them? The Center For Learning Enhancement provides a unique holistic approach to attention difficulties and is here to support you in exploring the causes and best options available to your child.
